Presentation: Inspecting CSST Gas Piping Systems

Presenter:       Jonathan Sargeant, Manager of Codes and Standards at OMEGA FLEX

The presentation will address the basic components of a CSST gas piping system,  requirements for electrical protection from lightning strikes, typical routing inside/outside buildings, mechanical protection requirements, and appliance/meter connections.  Home inspectors will be made aware of the requirements within fuel gas codes, the importance of manufacturer’s instructions, and national programs to promote public safety through new home inspector regulations.
